MyVet Imaging recently donated and installed the innovative MyVet i72W digital x-ray table at the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.
The University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine began in 1884 as a course in veterinary science, graduating its first true class of 26 new veterinarians with DVM degrees in 1950. Since 1946, more than 4,000 veterinarians have graduated after the first class began their studies.
With this gift, future Mizzou veterinarians will practice radiographic positioning using the new standard in diagnostic image acquisition that promotes positive exam outcomes emphasizing animal comfort and improved clinical diagnoses supported by higher image quality than most of today’s conventional veterinary digital x-ray table systems provide.
“We are grateful for the trust and support your gift represents, and the work it will allow us to accomplish”, wrote Carolyn J. Henry, DVM, MS, DACVIM, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine in her letter to the company.
“Veterinarians have unique imaging requirements, different from human imaging needs but are so often compelled to settle for modified human equipment”, Bill Nicholas, Director, Corporate Marketing and Communications stated. “The i72W is the right tool for the job for veterinary diagnostic imaging”, he added.
