AnimERge installs MyVet i72w Elevating X-Ray System

AnimERge is a premier Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care Center located in Raritan, New Jersey. Like many Veterinary hospitals AnimERge has several state of the art technologies that have advanced the level of care they can provide to their patients. Keeping up with the latest technology is crucial to the evolution of a successful veterinary practice in 2017 and beyond.

Elevating Digital X-Ray Table

Dr. Dean Newton has been the Director of AnimERge since 1989. He is a 1976 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Dr. Newton worked in general practice in upstate NY for several years. He then continued his education with a residency in theriogenology at Michigan State University, followed by employment with the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in the department of pathology. In 2006 Dr. Newton spearheaded an ambitious expansion and remodeling project, transforming AnimERge into a 24/7 facility in May of 2007. With the enhanced technologies and additional medical space available, he helped AnimERge add specialty services by bringing on a full-time board certified surgeon and two part-time ophthalmologists with others soon to follow.

In late 2016 Dr. Newton and his staff decided to further enhance their diagnostic imaging capabilities by installing the MyVet i72w Elevating Digital X-Ray system. This unique systems offers many key benefits that are simply not offered on other veterinary x-ray systems. The MyVet system is the first Elevating X-Ray Table in the veterinary market.  This is a huge benefit when loading and unloading heavy animals onto the table top. This feature limits the risk of injury to the animal and the technicians.  Animerge MyVet i72w X-ray

The MyVet i72w is also the only Veterinary X-Ray System to offer a 40-72 in SID (Subject to Image Distance) this allows for accurate measurement of body parts, in particular, heart size. The new system utilizes the 1717 Rayence Wireless DR Detector which reduces radiation dose to the patient and the staff. By being wireless the DR Detector can be removed and used in a wall bucky to perform weight bearing exams or to use on trauma patients without moving them onto the x-ray table.

Joanne Oldenburg Hospital Manager of AnimERge

“We have had a very busy weekend at the Merge and have taken lots and lots of x-rays. The doctors are very very happy and so are the technicians! We all love the new machine and the quality of our images are second to none! Thanks so much to you, Matt, and Jorge for being so incredibly wonderful! Despite being a little stressful awaiting delivery, the entire transition was much, much less painful than I anticipated. You were an absolute pleasure to work with and I appreciate you all so much!”
